Enjoy some of the best dives of your life, spectacular meals prepared by the best chef in town and an unforgettable nights at the ranger´s station. The following is a general idea of the three-day tour. Please understand that it can be changed depending on weather conditions or personal preferences agreed upon prior to the trip.


Summary:

Check in at the dive shop the day before the tour

Day 1: arrive 7.30 - 3 dives - night in Bahia Honda

Day 2: 2 dives, possible third dive, night in Bahia Honda

Day 3: 3 dives - return to Santa Catalina 


Notes:

All dives are done within Coiba National Park. 

Exact dive sites will be determined once there, depending on weather and sea-conditions. 

We will take you to a variety of dive sites during the three days. 

Please understand that, while we will do our best to do all dives, the number of dives a day can vary due to weather conditions. 

Nights dives can be organized for an additional $65 if a minimum of three people sign up.

Afternoon and early morning activities include exploration of the nearby mangroves and village and of course relaxing.

All meals will be prepared by the chef. Please let us know if you have any special dietary requirements. 

If you want to add an extra day to the trip, please be aware that this is only possible with a minimum of four participants.


Not included in the price:

- Entrance fees to the park ($60)

- Two overnight stays in Bahia Honda  ($40)

- Tips for the crew and chef 


What you need to bring:

- towel and toiletries

- change of clothes (long pants and shirt recommended for evening)

- mosquito repellant

- sun block

- torch

- rain jacket if you are coming in the rainy season

Please try and bring only the most necessary. You can leave your luggage at the dive shop.


Detailed Description of the Tour

The day before the tour

You need to check in at the dive shop the day before of the tour, where we are going to help you to fill in the liability release, fit all necessary gear and finalize the payment. Our opening hours are from 7:00  to 11:00am and form 2:00 to 7:00pm. Please let us know if you can´t make it the day before. At this point you can also leave the bag you are taking with you and won´t need any more (personal items, not gear) so we can send it with the logistics boat which will leave before you in order to have more space on the dive boat.

The day the tour starts

We meet at the dive shop at 7:30am, where you are meet the rest of the participants, part of the crew and the PADI Pro (Instructor/Dive Master) that comes with you on the trip. We depart form Santa Catalina beach between 8:00am and 8:30am and do our two dives on the way. Once at the hotel, we are assigned our the cabin(s) and eat lunch. After relaxing for a bit, we do the third dive, after which we return for dinner.

The second day

After a hearty breakfast we head out to do the first two dives of the day. Upon return, a delicious lunch is awaiting us, after which you can spend some time exploring the island and village, or, if possible, do a third dive.The day ends with dinner and hopefully a sound sleep. We may also have lunch on one of the baches in the park, depending on the dive plan. 

The third day

We ask you to pack those things you will not need anymore and send your luggage back to Catalina on the logistics boat after lunch. After breakfast we once again head out for two dives and return for a last meal (or have it on one of the beaches). On the way back to Santa Catalina, we stop to do our final dive of the trip. We usually arrive at about 4.30 pm. Once at the dive shop, we ask you to return the equipment you were given and finish filling in logbooks.
