Prerequisites: To enroll in a PADI Open Water Diver course (or Junior Open Water Diver course), you must be 10 years old or older. If you are between 10 and 14 years old, you will receive the Junior open Water Diver Certification. You need adequate swimming skills and need to be in good physical health and will be asked to fill in a medical questionnaire prior to arrival. No prior experience with scuba diving is required. Due to international law regarding the use of the internet, eLearning is only possible if you are 13 or older.
Complete Course (3 or 4 days)
-One or two days of theory including watching videos and doing knowledge reviews, quizzes and an exam (if you have the time, and would like to enjoy Santa Catalina a little as well, we recommend scheduling two days for this, so coming a day earlier, otherwise it’s an early start and a full day of studying).
-Two days of diving (confined water and 4 open water dives) in the national park.
Price: $430 + $40 for the entrance fees ($10 if you are Panamanian or resident)
Includes: all the gear, instructor, dives, online certification, dive insurance for the duration of the course and two lunches.
With eLearning (if you only have two days to do it):
All the theory is done online before your arrival and our instructor will go over any questions you have regarding that part of the course once you get here. All dives (confined and open water dives) will be done in the national park.

When you reserve this course with eLearning, you will be sent a code with which you can access your the PADI eLearning. You must have completed it before your arrival in Santa Catalina and bring us the online record of completion. You can also send it to us via email as soon as you are done.
